In one small moment in my life under the wrath of the heavens and through ambivalent periods of existance, I retreated from the menace of the terrene, I entered the Forever Lounge in hope of staying for the remainder of the night.
On entering the main hall, I was greeted by the souless, piercing stares of its patrons, perched in what resembled a hall of worship for the greatest horror's in the cosmos flanked by golden statues of the most twisted, alien forms which could not have been created or conceived by living being on this world. The room was built of large spaceous arches and stone blocks, decorated with furnishings created with the intricacy and care of ancient beings crafting offering to the forgotten gods of many generations past.
I'm not sure whether it was through curiosity or insanity that I wandered down its lost corridors, they were simple stone edifaces created out of function over intrigue with doors leading only to the rooms of the occupants who may have stumbled here just the same way I have.
What ever it was inside of me which told me to explore these passages at once told me to return to the hall of those damned statues, for what ever reason, I never knew. Something was amiss, the corridors appeared to have altered while under my blind eye as if the very walls themselves shifted out of spite or ridicule, forcing me to creep deeper into the Forever Lounge against my will.
That is when the room came, it's existance was like daemons escaping from dreams into nightmares and it fashioned like the very fragment from one's imagination. All around me were but trinkets of one's own mortal existance juxtaposed with the nightmarish symbols and construction which defy the reason of being, outside the subtle frame was an infinite night which gave the feeling of being lost in an abyss of nothingness. Never before had I felt so at mercy to the will of the universe and what ever hidden forces that craft the world to satisfy their grotesque vision.
When I was found, I would never truly recall whether it was fact or but a dream, but I feel that a part of myself has been forever lost to the dark sanctums of the Forver Lounge, I think of those in that great hall, lost to those which the world has forgotten.
Mega portion of details well done perspective, delicate colour use...very interesting work. I especially like the vault of the Lounge...must say that you have intriguing dreams

" Art is a proof that there's something more than emptiness "
The actual dream itself was much much longer that what I wrote there and had more in it (I had an actual room, 2 dogs with me and I met a person who I befreinded in the 'lounge', there was more of a plot around them) , but I thought i'd snip it to keep it relevant to the scene.
There were many more rooms compared to just this one, but I felt most compelled to draw that particular scene, the rest are too dulled now to remember too clearly. Also, I remember going into that little shed thing you see in the image, but I can't exactly remember what I found in there.

We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
